Senior Football Programme
Ibusa FC’s Senior Programme is the competitive arm of the club. It brings together committed, open-age players for structured training and 11-a-side association football, with participation in the Delta State League as our primary competitive objective.
The programme operates under the Club Programme strand — designed for players with a serious commitment to the game. Training takes place two to three times per week at Ugwu-Atakpo Primary School, Umejei Road, Ibusa, and is delivered by a qualified coaching team led by our Head Coach.
How we work
Our approach to development goes beyond the technical. We believe in developing players as whole people — building character, discipline, and resilience alongside passing, positioning, and tactical understanding. Every session follows a structured four-phase format: warm-up, technical and tactical work, game-based practice, and a cool-down and review. Sessions are player-centred, progressive, and grounded in game-realistic scenarios.
We are a club that holds ourselves to high standards — in how we coach, how we behave, and how we represent Ibusa and Delta State on the pitch.
Playing philosophy
Our style of play is built on movement, structure, and collective effort. We ask players to be disciplined without the ball and expressive with it. That philosophy runs through every training session, not just matchdays.
Who can participate
The Senior Programme is open to players aged 16 and above. Players under 18 require written parental or guardian consent prior to participation. All players are required to complete formal registration before their first session, in line with NFF and Delta State Football Association requirements.
Affiliation
Ibusa FC is registered as Ibusa Football Club Limited (RC 1402817) and is affiliated with the Delta State Football Association, the Nigeria Football Federation, and FIFA.
